Perils of Home Hairdressing
by Emily
Joan set her orange juice down and eyed the scissors in her friend's hand dubiously. She wanted a haircut but she'd learned over the years that underneath Grace's cynicism lay a twisted sense of humor. And volunteering to play barber wasn't typical of her friend - it smacked of a practical joke. "Have you ever done this before?"
Grace just smirked as she closed the distance between them.
Joan settled on the kitchen stool nervously.
Adam's eyes widened as his girlfriend answered the door; even with a downright ugly hairstyle his Jane was beautiful. He leaned forward to kiss her.
